I've always wanted to write. I have a lot to say about what i do, why i do it and where it all comes from, but I've never really found a way to channel it from my head. So I'm taking the leap to start what i'm calling my 'creative journal'. It's a way for me to express who i am and what i'm about. What makes me tick, what gives me a fire in my belly. And more than anything, to keep a diary of my journey.
I have been walking my creative path for many years now and it's been a challenge. Full of fun, day dreaming, art making, excitement and A LOT of self doubt and impostor syndrome! It really is a roller coaster ride. Having a creative mind can take you to many different head spaces and down all different sorts of rabbit holes. Some good and some not so good! But i don't think i'd have it any other way. Art is like a drug for me. It's hard to explain....but when i don't have creativity in my life, i can feel it dramatically. It's like part of me is missing. My soul is truly an artist.... even if my ego regularly tells me otherwise!
So.....here we are. The beginning of the unknown! And it's exciting! Where we go is anyone's guess and i'm loving the idea of that.
I will tell you all about my back story, what inspires me, how i spend my time and the processes that i use for my creative journey. It might be weird, it may not be wonderful. All i know is that this is my place to be free and not worry about only having 3 seconds to grab peoples attention. A slower pace. Stress free. More chilled!
